    I have a Chambers 61C that needs a
    thermostat. While researching This Problem
I became aware of this range not having
    a Safety System.
IS there a Modern system that can be incorporated in this oven that would be more
cost effective than having my old thermostat
rebuilt and then buy the items for a safety
    system.
    Thanks in Advance

Your thermostat is going to need to be rebuilt or replaced in addition to adding a safety system. The two systems run in parallel and both are needed. The thermostat controls oven temp, and the safety system shuts off the gas in the event the oven pilot goes out.

Check the link in my signature for do-it-yourself instructions on building a model C safety system.
